Outgoing DM Sonika given warm farewell by Collectorate officials

Dehradun, 5 Sep: Outgoing District Magistrate Sonika was given a farewell by the officers and employees of the Collectorate here today following her transfer as Additional Secretary in the Secretariat. During the farewell ceremony, the officers and other officials shared their experience of 2 years of tenure of District Magistrate Sonika and recalled the work done under her guidance. They recalled that while being the District Magistrate, G-20, Global Investors’ Summit and Lok Sabha General Elections 2024 were successfully completed under her guidance.
Outgoing DM Sonika, while sharing her experience, said that working at the district level, one gets direct opportunity to serve the common man, the helpless, the needy. And when one helps someone then, one gets a different kind of satisfaction. She appreciated the team spirit in successfully conducting big events such as G-20, Y-20, Global Investor’s Summit and Lok Sabha elections held in the district and hoped that the officials at the Collectorate will continue to discharge their responsibilities in the same manner in future.
Sonika added that the officers and other employees should keep in mind that if someone has come to their door in the hope of justice, then they should not turn them away but do justice after knowing their full side. She said that they will feel a different kind of happiness on solving the problems of the poor, helpless and needy. On this occasion, she also thanked the officers and employees of all the departments of the district including the Collectorate family for their cooperation.
